NAPLAN will be occurring in term 1 for all year 7 and 9 students commencing as of Wednesday the March 15th 2023. Detailed NAPLAN information for parents and carers is included below.
The information in the table below covers the testing sessions specific to Wellington Point State High School. Please ensure your students are present on the day and call the student absence line on 3820 4222 if they can not attend.
After these testing dates, there will be no more opportunities to sit the tests.
Please note that students are not expected to study for NAPLAN. You can support your child by reassuring them that NAPLAN is a part of their school program and reminding them to simply do their best. Some familiarisation and explanation of NAPLAN is useful to help students understand and be comfortable with the format of the tests. Teachers will ensure students are familiar with the types of questions in the tests and will provide appropriate support and guidance. The NAPLAN public demonstration site shows the types of questions that students will answer and parents/carers and students can use the website to access a demonstration test.
